  • 2/3 cup soy sauce
  • 2-3 tablespoons brown sugar or honey
  • 3 tablespoons grapeseed oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried ginger or 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup scallions, diced (optional)

 

Marinate the Chicken

Combine all sauce ingredients in a plastic bag and mix well. Add chicken wings and mush around so that they are fully covered. Refrigerate for four hours.

 

Bake Low & Slow

Preheat oven to 300F.  Pour off marinade. Arrange chicken wings on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake 25 minutes; remove from oven, flip wings, and return for an additional 25-35 minutes, until the meat feels tender to the touch (not firm when poked).
