• 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups matzo meal
  • 5 eggs

 

Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a muffin tin and set aside.

Bring water, oil, sugar and salt to a boil in a a medium saucepan. Once bubbling, stir in matzo meal. Continue to mix, adding 1 egg at a time and mixing thoroughly between additions.

Scoop into prepared muffin tin.

Bake 45-55 minutes, or until puffed, slightly browned, and cooked through.

 

Optional: add chopped chives, black pepper, basil or other seasonings of your choice to the batter.
